Code of Conduct (A.K.A. “Don’t Be That Person.”)
All participants must maintain professional behaviour throughout the hackathon.
We have zero tolerance for:
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive language
- Tampering with another participant’s system, code, or work
Any violation of the Code of Conduct may lead to immediate removal from the event.
Privacy & Data Usage
- By participating, you allow Battery Smart to use your information for identity checks, hackathon updates, and internal analysis
- We won’t share your personal data with anyone except trusted operational partners (like AWS) who help run the event
General Terms
- Battery Smart may modify or cancel the event if needed
- All selection, evaluation, and award decisions by Battery Smart will be final.
- By participating, you agree to all rules and decisions of the hackathon.
- Everything you submit must be 100% original — but here’s how it works:
- You retain authorship
- Battery Smart gets a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, improve, or showcase your work (with credit)
- We may use submissions for R&D or promotional content
- Any submission violating copyright, plagiarism rules, or third-party IP rights will be disqualified
Liability
- Participants are expected to ensure their submissions are safe, original, and follow all applicable guidelines
- Battery Smart is not responsible for any issues, loss, or inconvenience that may arise during participation
